Body found in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad : The body of a man with stitch marks across the abdomen was found in a locality here, making residents suspect his kidneys could have been removed, police said Monday.

According to sources, morning walkers of Rampuri locality on the Delhi border Monday noticed the body with stitch marks across the abdomen. The body was identified as of Prem Singh, a resident of A-8 Rampuri. Singh was working with a factory near Bhopura, under Sahibabad police station.

The Sahibabad police told IANS that Singh was admitted to the local Nand Lal Hospital after he was hit by a bus. He succumbed to his injuries. The hospital had sent a notice to the police but how the body reached Rampuri instead of the mortuary, nobody seemed to know.

The body was sent for post mortem examination. The report is awaited.

In the meantime, a doctor of the hospital said Singh had suffered multiple injuries and the liver was ruptured due to the accident. About three liters of blood was found in his abdomen.
