Washington : Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama leads US voter intentions on Friday, according to the most recent surveys.
A report published on the Real Clear Politics website says Obama has 46.9 percent popularity against 43.3 percent of his Republican rival John McCain.
Results suggest that this will be an increasingly hard-fought campaign, after a series of verbal attacks between both contenders that seem to benefit McCain.
Obama is ahead in key states for the November polls, like Colorado, Michigan, Virginia and Ohio, while his contender does so in Missouri and Florida.
The largest difference between the White House aspirants is a study carried out by the CNN TV channel, in which the African-American senator leads 51-44.
Opinions claim McCain has the largest qualities to command troops, while Obama has the most possibility of improving the economy.
