Lahore : Leader of the House in Senate Raza Rabbani said that PPP has informed PML-N about the nomination of Asif Ali Zardari as presidential candidate by its central executive committee.
“We have come to meet Mian Nawaz Sharif to inform and discuss the presidential candidature of Asif Ali Zardari,” he said while addressing a press after meeting with Nawaz Sharif at Jati Umra, Raiwind near here on Saturday.
He said that PPP leaders- Sherry Rehman, Khurshid Shah and Syed Qaim Ali Shah held discussion with PML-N leaders-Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif, Ishaq Dar, Ahsen Iqbal and Pervaiz Rashid about the decision of PPP’s CEC.
Rabbani said that Mian Nawaz Sharif informed that PML-N would take decision in this regard in its parliamentary party meeting.
To a question, he said that PPP and PML-N had already constituted a five-member committee comprising Raza Rabbani, Farooq Naik and Sherry Rehman from PPP and Ishaq Dar and Ahsen Iqbal from PML-N to prepare the draft of the resolution to be tabled in Parliament on Monday regarding reinstatement of judges.
