Islamabad : The last events in several Pakistani areas near the Afghanistan border confirmed violence and became accentuated Monday, leaving about 50 dead and 40 wounded.
The Geo TV private channel affirmed that at least ten people died Monday when a missile hit a residence in the conflictive Swat Valley, in the north, an attack that was vindicated by Islamic rebels from Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) movement.
The brother of the regional deputy chairman of the northeastern border province Iqbal Ahmed Khan died in the event that took place in Kabal, assured the TV channel.
The two children of the legislator and seven security guards died in the event.
The aggression took place one day after the Army launched a mortar attack against several houses killing seven civilians, according to Geo TV report that cited a TTP spokesman who affirmed they acted out of a desire for revenge.
Although the Pakistani government, formed late in March, beg for talks with the rebels ready to give up violence at the very beginning the peace talks are at standstill and the security troops launch operations in several regions of the conflictive northwestern Pakistani.
In addition, the Dawn private channel referred that at least 22 people died and 38 others were wounded Monday during combats between rival tribes in Kurram district, bordering with Afghanistan.
