New Delhi: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) has strongly condemned the violence and vandalism in Orissa that is still going on and demanded the government to immediately stop violence and ascertain peace and amity in the region in a statement issued today.
Condemning the violence against Christian Community and its Churches Mr Nusrat Ali the Secretary General of JIH , said, “the act of killing innocent children and women or persons, burning worship places, orphanage houses and properties showed the terrorist and unlawful mentality, so it is the responsibility of government to end this mentality, besides, no one or group should be allowed to create law and order situation.”
He urged the government to capture real culprit behind the killing of a Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s leader, which erupted in violence in Orissa and also urged to probe the whole matter through a high-level investigation agency to bring culprits to justice.
He expressed sympathies and solidarity with the families of victims and hoped the government to immediately restore peace and provide compensations to the affected persons.
