Mumbai : Indian mathematical syllabi and computer training is fast gaining popularity in Asian nations. Even as Japanese academia gushes out euphoric praises over Indian elementary mathematic textbooks, Malaysian universities are not far behind.
Malaysian academia has sent 25 faculty members to one of India’s leading software service provider Satyam Computer Services Ltd’s for study from its learning model.
Announcing this Wednesday here official spokesperson of the company said the month long faculty sabbatical programme (FSP) has been envisaged to enable the students at graduate level for entry-level position.
“The company is currently collaborating with universities and academia in far east nations. Moreover, we want to create an offshore centre at Kuala Lumpur, maintaining a local versus foreign ratio of 80: 20,” said Prasenjit Kundu, head of Satyam Global Solutions Centre, Malaysia.
Head of Satyam Learning Centre, Rajul Asthana said the recent visit of the students to India was a part of a larger strategic competency development initiative called Campus Link.
“Through this initiative, we endeavour to develop sustainable academic relations with major universities and educational establishments,” he said.
