Beirut : Prime Minister Fuad Siniora Wednesday called on all Lebanese people to participate in the 3rd anniversary of assassination of former Premier Rafiq Hariri, in order to press ahead with the election of president of the republic.
Hariri’s 3rd commemoration is taking place with Lebanon still searching for peace, stability and co-existence, Siniora said in a televised address.
Lebanon, he added, was still seeking justice and independence “because criminals are away from the hand of justice.” He said it was impossible that scores of politicians, men of letters and journalists be killed without any genuine effort to disclose the killers.
The demonstrators, who will mark the 3rd anniversary on Thursday, should call for the election of a president of the republic and establishing balanced relations with the Arab countries.
