New Delhi : Books on Simon Bolivar”s thinking and works, the current Bolivarian Revolution in Venezuela and an anthology of President Hugo Chavez” speeches have been very popular in India on Sunday

Edited in a simple format in Tamil language by Pablo Neruda”s Latin American and Spanish Research Center in Chennai, capital of the Tamil Nadu southern state, the texts are very popular among readers, assured the director of that Institution Gnalan Subramanian.

This is a Venezuela-India coordination project to contribute to increase the knowledge over culture and the present political life in this Latin American country.

Subramanian, also editor and teacher of Latin American issues, was one of the intellectuals and academicians who attended the International Seminar: Paradigms of Development and Resistance Cultures that concluded on Saturday night in this capital.

In his speech to the Forum the director of Pablo Neruda”s center informed that over 25,000 copies of a collection of Chavez speeches have been sold last January.

Ambassador Milena Santaha explained Prensa Latina that they have been working in that project for a year to make the people here aware of the Bolivarian process and to counteract the influence of a worldwide US campaign against Venezuela.
