Kabul : Some 35 Afghan civilians died at Spin Boldak, a town in Kandahar province on Monday when a car bomber targeting a Canadian military convoy detonated its explosives.
IRNA reporter in Kabul said that 27 others were also wounded, several of them in critical condition.
He said that two of the wounded died at hospital raising the death toll to 37.
Three Canadian soldiers were slightly wounded, he said, adding that there is possibility of toll rise.
One of the Canadian military vehicles was heavily damaged in the attack.
