Serbia to Sue US at World Court

By Prensa Latina

Belgrade : Serbia will bring lawsuits to the International Court of Justice against countries which, like the US, recognized the recent unilateral proclamation of independence by Kosovo, it was revealed Wednesday.

Branislav Ristivojevic, advisor to Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica, warned the denunciation against the US government is based on Washington’s recognition of a false State in Serbian territory.

According to Ristivojevic, Belgrade will withdraw the accusation when the White House overturns its pronouncement, otherwise, he warned, it will be brought to all possible international courts.

Ristivojevic announced they will also condemn Germany, France, Italy, and Great Britain, countries that recognize Kosovo’s unilaterally proclaimed independence on February 17 in Pristine, the provincial capital.

He emphasized Kosovo is an inalienable part of Serbian territory and its unilateral proclamation is a historic injustice that violates the UN Charter and international law.
