New Delhi : Lieutenant General A.K.S. Chandele Monday took over as director general of the Indian Army’s Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME).
Commissioned into the EME in 1970, Chandele is an expert in radars and anti-tank gun and missile systems.
A postgraduate in biomedical equipment from IIT Roorkee, Chandele is a graduate of the Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), Wellington and has attended the prestigious Higher Command Course and National Defence College Course.
Chandele has held many prestigious instructional, regimental and staff appointments including that of additional director general of EME at Army Headquarters.
He is also 49th Colonel Commandant of the corps.
