Srinagar : Three Border Security Force (BSF) troopers were among six people wounded in a grenade blast in Kashmir Wednesday.
Police said militants hurled a grenade at a BSF bunker in Gulshan Chowk in Bandipora town, 50 km from here.
“The grenade exploded near the bunker, injuring three BSF troopers and an equal number of civilians. All the injured were initially taken to the local hospital. However, attending doctors referred two injured, including a trooper, to Srinagar for specialised treatment,” a police official said here.
The area was immediately cordoned off and search operations were carried out. However, no one was detained.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
