Shivraj Patil leaves for Egypt Saturday

New Delhi : Home Minister Shivraj Patil will leave for Egypt Saturday on a five-day official visit, during which he will hold discussions with Egyptian leaders, including Interior Minister General Habib Ibrahim Habib El Adly, on issues of bilateral interests.

During Patil’s visit both countries will sign two bilateral agreements – one on Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty on Criminal Matters, and the other on Transfer of Sentenced Persons.

Patil will also meet Egyptian President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak.

According to the Egyptian General Authority for Foreign Investment (GAFI), India is the 12th largest foreign investor in the country with investments worth approximately $330 million in 43 projects.
