Moscow : The eighth consignment of Russian nuclear fuel for the Iranian nuclear plant in the southern port of Bushehr completed the amount of the uranium fuel committed by Moscow, said a governmental source in this city.
The press office of Russia’s Nuclear Federal Agency (Rosatom) confirmed that 82 tons of uranium had been delivered to the first Iranian nuclear reactor which is being built with the assistance of Russian experts.

Previously sealed by the inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency, the containers are already stored according to the UN security regulations, said the source.
The general director of Rosatom, Serguei Kirienko, recently said that Atomstroiexport Company would conclude the nuclear fuel shipments in February, but the process was brought forward.
Iran has said that the Bushehr nuclear plant will begin operating in the summer of 2008, producing half its 1,000-megawatt capacity of electricity.
