Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh: Communal riots are the ultimate outcome of fascist communalism, which is more dangerous than communal riots. The history written by Englishmen is responsible for fascist communalism, said Prof. Ram Pawayani of Maharashtra’s Ekta Sampradayik Sauhard Samiti. He was speaking at a workshop on ‘Communal Harmony and Terrorism’ in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
While elaborating on the factors responsible for terrorism in India, Mr. Pawayani said the U.S. oil politics and economic deprivation, besides communal riots, are the basic reasons of terrorism. In his 4-hour-long speech he countered several accusations on Islam and Muslims like spread of Islam through sword and polygamy among Muslims. He said common Indian culture and civilization owe to Muslim sufis.
