Jakarta : Some 60 countries committed to increasing aid to help Palestine become an independent state, evidenced in the Africa-Asia Ministerial Conference.
They will back some 90 development projects that are to benefit over 10,000 Palestinians and the New Africa-Asia Strategic Association (NAEAA) will run five-yearly enforcement verifications.
Indonesia and South Africa will monitor along Palestinian authorities as co-representatives of the NAEAA, founded in 1955 at the Conference of Bandung.
The Palestinians designed the cooperation and professional training projects and explained them at the Conference through Prime Minister Salam Fayed and several cabinet members.
Fayed called the meeting a starting point of collaboration in the quest to create capacity and achieve independence, since their need will not end after.
The Palestinian authorities called this Conference a token of solidarity to the style of Bandung, West Java, Indonesia, when Africans and Asians met to achieve national independence.
