Tokyo : A 6.1-magnitude earthquake jolted northeast Japan’s Miyagi and Fukushima prefectures Monday, Japan Meteorological Agency said.
The quake occurred at 8.30 p.m. (1100 GMT) and its epicentre was about 30 km under the seabed in the Pacific Ocean off Fukushima prefecture.
No tsunami warning was issued and no injuries were reported following the quake.
