Islamabad : Fresh clashes between security forces and local militants in Pakistan’s southwestern Baluchistan Province killed more than 20 and wounded several others, said an official on Sunday.
Clashes erupted between the two sides in Dera Bugti town Saturday night when militants attacked Frontier Core (FC) personnel, guarding gas fields, with rockets, senior FC official Saleem Nawaz told media.
He said the attack left three soldiers dead and seven others critically wounded. Two of the injured soldiers died in hospital, he added.
He further said that there was heavy exchange of fire between the two sides, and pointed to losses on the militants’ side as well, with more than twenty dead and eleven others wounded.
