Iran says IAEA report proves no deviation in nuclear program

By Xinhua,

Tehran : Iran said on Sunday that the latest report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) proved that there is no deviation in Iran’s nuclear program from civilian purpose, the official IRNA news agency reported.

The report, which was prepared by IAEA Director General Mohamed ElBaradei, also indicated that all Iranian sites have been under the IAEA full supervision, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini said.

“The report also said that all the agency’s findings are in full conformity with Iran’s nuclear activities” at the enrichment facilities in Natanz, central Iran, he said.

The latest IAEA report, which was circulated last week to the UN Security Council and the IAEA Board of Governors, will be focused by the UN nuclear organization’s Board of Governors meeting in Vienna slated for June 2-6.

“The IAEA report has also reiterated that all activities at Arak installations are under direct supervision of the agency,” Hosseini said. “All Iran’s fuel consignments received for Bushehr nuclear power plant have been supervised by the agency.”

However, the latest IAEA report still showed serious concern on the nuclear programs of Iran, according to media reports in Vienna last week.

So far the report has not been published. According to media in Vienna, the draft report, which was a development on the report published on Feb. 22, said Iran did not offer enough explanation on some problems, especially those ranged over high explosives testing and the missile re-entry vehicle project as well as uranium-related components.
