Muslims can change political scene if they vote unitedly: Iqbal Mahmood

Moradabad: If Muslims learn a lesson from the past and show intelligence of organized voting in next parliamentary elections, they can change entire political scenario of this country, said Samajwadi Party leader and ex-UP minister Nawab Iqbal Mahmood Khan.

Even 62 years after the independence of the country, Indian Muslims are badly tangled in educational, economic, social and political backwardness, chiefly because all political parties of the country not only poached them for consolidating their power through false promises but also exploited them during this long period, said Mahmood Khan. There is one and only one reason behind this debacle: Muslims never used their power of vote in an organized manner and the division of their vote harmed all of them, he continued.

He said the coming election will also decide whether pseudo secularists will form the government or communalists will come to power.
