Islamabad : The parties winning Pakistan’s parliamentary elections agreed to raise a resolution in the first parliament session to let President Pervez Musharraf seek vote of confidence, The News daily reported on Wednesday.

The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the two largest party in the parliament, decided to move the resolution in the very first session of the National Assembly, which is believed to be held before March 10.

The decision was made during a meeting between PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and top PML-N leaders in Islamabad on Tuesday evening.

The parties also agreed on a resolution of the United Nations’ probe into assassination of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.

The PPP won the most votes in the Feb. 18 elections and will form a coalition government with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) led by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. The two main parties and other parties are carrying out consultation due to differences.
