Washington : A minor explosion occurred in front of the Pentagon military recruiting station in New York City early Thursday, causing minor damage to the facility, the National Security Department reported.
According to the spokesperson of that department, Laura Keehner, the cause of the explosion is still being investigated.
Preliminary reports said no one was injured in the blast, which left a gaping hole in the front window and shattered a glass door.
Police sources blocked off the Times Square where the recruiting center is found.
The subway service in this city was cancelled temporarily, and there was a traffic jam in 42 and 44 streets for several hours.
