UNESCO Pays Tribute to Women

Paris : UNESCO headquarters will offer exhibitions, lectures and concerts this month to pay tribute to women, who will be celebrating International Women’s Day on Saturday.

A debate on Equal Sex: Everyone’s affairs will be held on March 10 to mark the date with worldwide implications, a UNESCO press released reported.

Philanthropists, donors, sponsors and businessmen supporting initiatives in favor of the feminine sector will attend the meeting coordinated by the United Nations Organizations (UNESCO).

In addition, a musical soiree of Ivory Coast on March 11, singer, dancer and percussionist Dobet Gnahore will perform along with Nabil Mehrezi, Colin Laroche de Feline and Boris Tchango.

The documentary Mutilations: Women tears produced by Kercine association in collaboration with the Health World Organization will be screened along with a debate with its producers, pointed UNESCO note.

You can also see exhibitions “One thousand women for the Nobel peace Prize” represented by postcards showing the faces of 1,000 women nominated for the prise in 2005 and “Alicia in the Movie country” with an exhibition in honor of French Alica Guy-Blache, first feminine filmmaker, among other activities.
