Gaza : Palestinian militants resisted Israeli military troops that advanced toward the town of Qabatiya in the north of the West Bank.
Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad, said in a statement released on Saturday that its fighters, late on Friday, resisted the occupation forces that advanced into the town.
The Israeli troops moved via several axes and engaged in fierce fighting with the fighters who fought with automatic guns and hand-grenades, the faction said.
The Israelis who earched for fighters from the organization withdrew from the town after meeting resistance.
In another statement, the same group claimed responsibility for firing a missile in the direction of Migen settlement, located east of the town of Khan Youness in the south of Gaza Strip.
