Chennai : Virender Sehwag scored a superb 319 as India reached 547 for four wickets – a lead of seven runs – at lunch on the fourth and penultimate day in the first Test against South Africa here Saturday.
At the break, Rahul Dravid, who completed 10,000 runs in the morning, was batting on 99 and V.V.S. Laxman was on six. South Africa had posted 540 in the first innings.
