Gaza : Several Palestinian resistant factions claimed responsibility on Friday for firing several missiles and mortar shells on several Jewish settlements.
The military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), Al-Quds Brigades claimed responsibility for firing two 80-milimeter mortar shells on Israeli military base Abu-mutaibeq in east of Gaza.
In press statement received by KUNA, the group said their Mujahideen were able to target the Israeli military base Friday evening.
The attacks were in response to Israeli continuous aggression and crimes against the Palestinian people.
Meanwhile, Salah Eddin Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) also claimed responsibility for firing two missiles, type Nasser-3, toward the Israeli settlement Sderot.
According to a press release by the Brigades the Israeli military admitted that two missiles landed at a building in the Israeli settlement.
The attack comes in response to Israeli continuous policy of assassination of Palestinians.
The statement added the group who fired the missiles returned safely to their base.
Earlier, the PIJ, claimed responsibility in a different statement for launching three locally made missiles, type-Quds, against Israeli settlement Sderot.
Meanwhile, Israel said an armed Palestinian man was killed north of Gaza by Israeli soldiers fire on Friday.
The Israeli spokesman who was quoted by Israeli radio claimed the armed Palestinian was walking in northern Gaza and came close to Israeli soldiers who shot at him after he threw a hand grenade towards them.
According to the spokesman the explosion did not cause any injuries.
No one claimed responsibility over the incident.
In RAMALLAH, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) wounded on Friday 17 international activists in weekly Bil’in peaceful demonstration.
The participants protested the sraeli construction of the Expansion and Annexation Wall on the land of citizens lands in Bil’in village, west Ramallah.
The IOF troops opened fire and hurled gas canisters towards the international activists and wounded 17 of them, including seven journalists as well as causing suffocation among tens others.
