Central Unani Tibbi Board awards for media, Tibb

New Delhi: The Central Unani Tibbi Board organized a Tibbi convention here in Shaheed Ashfaqullah Khan Park of Silampur area and awarded some renowned personalities from the fields of media and Tibb.

Senior journalist attached with editorial department of Urdu daily Rashtriya Sahara Majid Raman and Mohammad Owais of Hindi daily Shah Times were given ‘Hakim Ajmal Khan Media Award’ for Urdu and Hindi languages respectively. ‘Hakim Ajmal Khan Media Award’ for Unani and Ayurvedic was given to Dr. Raj Kumar Aggarwal and Dr. Mohammad Shamoon respectively. Youth awards for medicine and media went to Hakim Ataur Rahman Ajmali and M. Atharuddin respectively. The Convention was chaired by the chairman of National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions Justice Mohammad Suhail Ejaz Siddiqui.

Speaking on the occasion, Justice Mohammad Suhail Ejaz Siddiqui said Muslims should benefit from the facilities offered by the government but this is distressing that Muslim representatives remain unable to disseminate this information among Muslim masses and do not motivate them to benefit from it. Emphasizing on the importance and usefulness of Tibb-e-Unani, he said revolutionary steps are required for its progress. Others who addressed the Convention include Delhi Wakf Board chairman Chaudhary Mateen Ahmad. The organization demanded the government to form Pharmacy Council of Indian System of Medicine.
