Ahmedabad : Knowledge society is the most powerful society today, according to senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L.K. Advani.
Advani was dedicating the Hall of Space and Hall of Science theme pavilion at the Gujarat Council of Science City here Sunday. The Gujarat government honoured the renowned mathematician A.R. Rao on the occasion.
“In an era of science and technology, such projects broaden the knowledge and awareness in the best interest of mankind,” said Advani, former deputy prime minister and MP of the Gandhinagar constituency here.
“When I represented Gandhinagar for the first time in 1991, I had floated the idea of a Science City. I am proud to note that the Science City has earned glory and credit under the leadership of Chief Minister Narendra Modi. The theme pavilions today add a feather in the cap of Science City,” he said.
The Hall of Space and the Hall of Science are spread over 2,000 square metres each and Science City itself is spread over an area of 107 hectares.
