Munger (Bihar): In 2005 in central India, 150 policemen and 286 terrorists were killed and none of them was Muslim; in 2006, 128 policemen and 348 terrorists were killed there, no Muslim again, said Maulana Wali Rahmani, Sajjadah Nasheen of Khanqah Rahmani.
He was speaking at a programme organized to welcome Union Minister of State for Internal Affairs, Shri Prakash Jaiswal, at Jamia Rahmani. Continuing his speech armed with facts and figures, Maulana Rahmani said in 2007, 65 security personnel and 501 terrorists were killed in five states of north-eastern India and even a single Muslim was not among them. In 2008, 112 terrorists have been killed so far in the same region and no Muslim name is among them. These statistics show that it is wrong to associate Muslims’ name with terrorism. Notwithstanding the facts, Chief of Rashtriya Swyamsewak Sangh (RSS), K S Sudarshan is misleading the country saying that although every Muslim is not a terrorist but some Muslims are always there in every incident of terrorism.

In no uncertain terms he told the minister that the attitude adopted by union and state governments with regard to elimination of terrorism is itself based on terrorism and Muslims are being terrorized through it.
Maulana Rahmani said two hundred districts of the country have become victims of the activities of terrorist organizations and these are not Muslim organizations. Everyone knows that police stations were looted and police officers and jawans were killed. Even officers of rank of deputy director and S.P. have been killed by these organizations. This is a fact that one lakh fifty thousand population of Dante Wada in Chattisgarh left their homes out of fear of these terrorists and took refuge at other places. Sixty-five thousand of them are still living as refugees by the roadside. No one names these terrorists’ religion but wherever any explosion is heard, Muslims are immediately named.
He expressed his dismay over cold attitude of Congress Party towards maintaining its secular character. Maulana Rahmani reminded that internal security report prepared during NDA government tenure under the chairmanship of LK Advani associated madrasas with terrorism and fundamentalism whereas Advani himself stated in the parliament that terrorist activities are not found in madrasas.
