Imarat Shariah delegation discusses Muslim issues with JIH leaders

New Delhi: The high-level delegation of Imarat Shariah (Bihar, Orissa & Jharkhand) led by its general secretary Maulana Aneesur Rahman visited the headquarters of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) on 17th May. The delegation is on a weeklong Delhi visit.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by JIH president Maulana Jalaluddin Umri and other office bearers. The leaders from the two organizations held discussions on the position of Muslim community in India, problems faced by it and ways and means to increase cooperation among Muslim organisations. They also discussed how Muslims’ status and position can be elevated in the country by strengthening and establishing Sharia Courts (Darul Qaza) across the country.

The Imarat delegation has attended several public meetings held in big Muslim pockets in the national capital. On 18th May it is holding a conference at Jamia Millia Islamia.
