Bhubaneswar : The death toll in a heat wave sweeping Orissa has risen to 41, an official said Sunday.
While 37 people have died of sunstroke across the state since March 17, four people were killed in Balasore district Saturday after a thunder squall, revenue control room official D.N. Sahu told IANS.
The squall has also injured dozens of people, uprooted a large number of trees and damaged property, she said.
On Saturday, Sundergarh record the maximum temperature of 45.5 degrees Celsius and Bhubaneswar 40.5 degrees.
