Winners:

Shikaripura: BJP’s chief ministerial candidate B.S. Yediyurappa

Chittapur (SC): State Congress chief Mallikarjuna Kharge

Ramanagara: Former chief minister H.D. Kumaraswamy of JD-S

Holenarasipura: Kumaraswamy’s elder brother H.D. Revanna.

Bellary City: Mining magnate G. Somasekhara Reddy of BJP

Shiggaon: BJP’s Basavaraj Bommai, son former chief minister S.R. Bommai

Losers:

Jewargi: Former Congress chief minister Dharam Singh

Haliyal: Former Congress minister R.V. Deshpande

Srirangapatna: Film actor and union minister of state for information and broadcasting M.H. Ambareesh.

Gadag: Former Congress minister H.K. Patil

Shikaripura: Former chief minister and state Samajwadi Party chief S. Bangarappa

Soraba: Kumar Bangarappa and Madhu Bangarappa, sons of Bangarappa

Humnabad: JD-S state chief Merajuddin Patel

Ramanagara: Mamatha Nichani, daughter of former chief minister Ramakrishna Hegde
