Raipur : A 35-year-old man was arrested in Chhattisgarh for killing his mother over a dispute related to a small plot of land, police said Monday.
Ramnarayan allegedly killed his mother Ramwati Bai, 73, Friday after she refused to register the plot in his name. The incident took place Friday at village Rajpur under Bilaspur district’s Takhatpur police station, some 200 km from here.
Ramnarayan, who had strained relationship with his mother, also made an attempt to burn the body soon after the killing, but culd not because neighbours raised an alarm, police said.
