BJP to charge up ‘foot soldiers’ in Jaipur

By IANS,

New Delhi : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will organise a mega meet to “charge up foot soldiers” in Jaipur Thursday.

“There are 48,571 polling booths in Rajasthan and we would invite at least six to seven workers from each of them – this should make about 300,000 workers adding up to a Maha Kumbh,” party spokesperson Prakash Javadekar told reporters here Wednesday.

The agenda for the rally would be to “charge up the foot soldiers”, while most of the other rallies usually deal with higher-level cadres, Javadekar added.

Top leaders like the party’s prime ministerial candidate L.K. Advani, party president Rajnath Singh, former party president M. Venkaiah Naidu, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and spokesperson Javadekar would address the rally.

The main message of the rally will be how the BJP government changed Rajasthan “from a BIMARU (for Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh) state to an economically healthy state”.
