Brussels : Higher education officials of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states will hold here Monday a session of discussions ahead of a scheduled meeting with European officials Tuesday.
A GCC source said in remarks to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that Monday’s meeting, in which Kuwaiti Higher Education Undersecretary Dr. Rasha Al-Sabah will participate, will discuss cooperation between the GCC and European Union (EU) and issues to be discussed in Tuesday’s meeting.
The issues include the role of education in economic growth and competition, higher education policies, the development of European universities, curriculums and students’ exchange, he added.
The meeting will be also attended the general director of university education at the Saudi Higher Education Ministry, Dr. Abdullah Al-Baqmi, advisor at the research and studies center in the Saudi Higher Ministry Dr. Abdulrahman Abuama, the general director of private universities and colleges at the Omani Higher Education Ministry Dr. Saeed Al-Rubaie, the assistant lecturer of constitutional law at the College of Law at the United Arab Emirates University Dr. Hadif Al-Owais, and head of the educational administration at the GCC Secretariat General Mohsen Al-Dusiri.
