Sydney : The Australian and Thailand navies are engaged in maneuvers in the Gulf of Thailand aimed at improving maritime, antiaircraft and other means of interception.
A note from the Australian defense Ministry emphasized that the oerations started Monday and will extend for a week of surface and underwater military exercises.
Several HMAS Ansac ships from the Australian navy and HTMS Sukotai rocket launchers and the southern Asian Tapi frigate will take part in the practice called AUSTHAI 08.
