The figures, released by Kuwait’s central census department, showed that males made up 93.5 percent of these expatriate workers, according to the state-run Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
The report, however, did not give a break-up of the nationalities of these workers.
According to the census figures, around 67.7 percent of the expatriates got salaries lower than 180 Kuwaiti dinars ($673).
