Raipur : At least seven people, including two women, were killed and 18 injured, many seriously, when a passenger bus collided head-on with a trailer in Chhattisgarh Saturday, police said.
“Seven died on the spot when a speeding trailer hit a passenger bus at Pali in Korba district,” Ratanlal Dangi, district superintendent of police, told IANS by telephone.
Thirty-five people were on board the Korba town-bound private bus, said the police. The accident site is some 170 km north of here. The bus originated from Bilaspur.
The 11 seriously injured were taken to hospitals.
