Baghdad : Two simultaneous explosions killed nine policemen Sunday in Anbar province west of Baghdad, police said.
A police source told the DPA that the bombs ripped though a patrol in Faluja, 70 km west of Baghdad, killing an officer and eight other policemen.
The Iraqi security forces took over security responsibility for the Sunni-dominated Anbar province in September 2008 from the US-led Multi-National Force in Iraq.
