New Delhi : Sixth-seeded Rohan Gajjar of India got account of qualifier Sudanwa Sitaram 6-4, 6-2 to move into the second round of the $10,000 International Tennis Federation (ITF) tournament at the DLTA complex here Monday.
Gajjar, who crashed out in the first round last week, next plays the winner of the match between Indian qualifier Sriram Narayanaswamy and South Korean Jae-Won Choi.
Fifth-seeded Chris Eaton of Britain, too, advanced to the second round beating Indian wildcard Vidhan Vyas 6-3, 6-0.
In other singles matches, American Shane La Porte rallied to beat Indian wildcard Vinod Sridhar 5-7, 6-1, 6-3 while India’s Vijayant Malik beat compatriot Yannick Nelord 6-3, 6-3.
