Mumbai : Indian equities markets closed marginally higher Wednesday after giving up most of day’s gains amid volatile conditions. A key index gained 0.52 over its previous close.
The sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) ended at 9,196.73 points (provisional), up 0.52 percent or 47.43 points.
At the same time, the S&P CNX Nifty index of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was at 2,800.5 points, 0.6 percent higher than its Tuesday close of 2,783.9 points.
The BSE midcap index was down 0.53 percent, while the BSE smallcap index lost 0.05 percent over its previous close.
