The news agency quoted unnamed Indian intelligence officials assaying that warnings by the Al Qaeda were not new, but they are studying the video “closely” as it is in Arabic.

The video, which was sent to the BBC office in Islamabad, allegedly released by Mustafa Abu al-Yazid, an alleged Al Qaeda military commander in Afghanistan, warned India that it will have to “pay a heavy price” if it tries to attack Pakistan, according to a BBC News report.

Yazid, who was reported to have been killed by United States military in Afghanistan last year, has referred to India’s Mumbai “humiliation” in the video in Arabic and said India will face more Mumbai-style attacks, the BBC News reported.

“The Mujahideen will sunder your armies into the ground, like they did to the Russians in Afghanistan,” the alleged Al Qaeda leader said in the video.

India has accused Pakistani intelligence of involvement in the Mumbai attacks in November last year and the bombing against Indian Embassy in Kabul in July. At least 170 people were killed in the Mumbai attacks and 40 killed in the bombing in Kabul.

Pakistan has denied the accusation.
