Urumqi (China) : Nine people were killed and eight injured Tuesday evening when a bus collided head-on with a truck in China’s northwestern Xinjiang Uygur region, officials said.
The accident occurred at 6.15 p.m. in Gongliu County. Four people died on the spot, while five others succumbed to their injures in a hospital, an official of the local administration said.
The cause of the accident is being investigated.
