Kochi: Those selected for Haj pilgrimage 2009 under the state Haj Committee should submit their passports to the Haj Committee on or before 5th August. Those Haj pilgrims in the waiting list too should submit their passports.
Even though the Central Haj Committee has allowed submission of passports till August 31, the state Haj Committee fixed a new date since the first Haj flight from the country could be from Kerala and the journey may be delayed if a lot of time is taken to get Haj visas from the Saudi Consulate.
Haj visas can be made ready in time only if passports are submitted early. Even if all Haj pilgrims do not have passports ready now, those who have should submit them at the Haj Committee office. Those who have not yet received passports should contact the state Haj Committee office before 31st of this month to get special passports.
