Tehran : Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Sunday that the issue of Palestine is important for all countries and that is why the world public opinion was following its developments carefully.
Larijani made the remarks in a meeting with vice-speaker of the Venezuelan parliament Saul Ortega who visited Iran to attend the 4th International Conference on Palestine, held in the Iranian capital on March 4-5.
Referring to the Tehran-Caracas ties as progressing and cordial, the speaker said the two capitals should take advantage of the existing opportunities to promote bilateral economic, political, scientific and industrial cooperation.
Meanwhile, the Venezuelan parliamentarian said that Caracas attaches great importance to the expansion of bilateral ties with Tehran.
He also hailed Iran’s consistent support for the oppressed nations.
