IFF organized family meet held in Jeddah

Jeddah : “The Muslims in India have been relegated to the back of the social ladder and repeatedly been oppressed denying them proper justice and security under each and every government that ruled India since independence. They have been exploited as a mere vote bank without any political representation either in the state or central legislature”, said K M Shareef, General Secretary, Popular Front of India (PFI) who was on a short visit to the Kingdom, addressing the audience of ‘PIRSAPPAD’ held recently in Jeddah.

India Fraternity Forum (“IFF”), Jeddah, is an organization of expatriate Indians that embraces members from all the states of India. The Forum is mainly involved in social activities all over Kingdom.

India Fraternity Forum, Karnataka Chapter, Jeddah organized their very first family get-together event “PIRSAPPAD” in an exceptional style on Thursday, 14th January 2010 at Impala Compound, Sharafiyya, Jeddah. Besides the marvelous cultural show, the audience witnessed attractive programs including Social Activities and Health Awareness Presentation that caught special attraction.

Mr. K.M Sherief emphasized that since independence all commissions set up, seminars conducted and books published about the backwardness of the Muslim community had affirmed that no action has been taken until today to improve the situation. Culprits of Babri Masjid demolition are still on boulevard enjoying public life challenging rule of law in the country despite the fact that they demolished our secular credentials. The politicians are accusing one another to seep out of Justice M.S Libarhan Commission Report instead of bringing the culprits before justice. Above all, Indian Muslims are facing the very serious identity issue at present, he added.

Function began at 9.00 pm with the recitation from Holy Qur’aan by master Muneer before a packed audience at the Impala compound.

Multi-media presentation mainly briefing the social welfare activities of the India Fraternity Forum coordinated by Suhail Kandak gave good impression about the forum activities to the audience.

Later on Health Awareness Programme with multi-media presentation emphasizing the importance of health among the expatriates show at which the spectators were thrilled to see the importance of exercise to keep up the good health.

Culture programs were held in which Islamic melodious songs and the traditional Islamic musical event “Daff” was performed by IFF kids. Cultural events were anchored by A.M. Arif Jokatte.

Qira’ath and drawing competitions for kids, Spot quiz based on Islamic & general knowledge for all categories were held by Brother Abdul Majeed which was very informative and appreciated by both the audience and participants.

Some indoor fun games were conducted for the younger generation. ‘Ring to Mobile’, ‘Guess the Price’ were the main attractions among outdoor games as people were enthusiastically participating with the spirit of fun. Separate arrangements facilitated ladies participation in the program with other events exclusively for them. Delicious dinner was also served along with snacks and other refreshments.

Also there was a Lucky Draw for the participants based on entry pass, and special gifts for children as well as families. IFF volunteers facilitated the smooth conducting of the programs with impressive assistance. At the end Br. Abdul Majeed gave the vote of thanks.

Br. Mohammed Ali welcomed the guests and audience and Mr. Ashraf Maina, President of DKSC, Jeddah , Mr. Hidayath, President of BAMA and, P.K. Basheer, General Coordinator, IFF were among others who were present on the dias. Muhammed Hussain, the President of IFF Jeddah Karnataka chapter presided the function and entire program coordinated by Br. A.M.Aarif Jokatte.
