“The first priority is our country, if it remains there can be many more mandir and masjid,” said the gurus including Naib Imam Aishbagh Eidgah, Maulana Khalid Rasheed Farangi Mahli, Imam-e-Juma and shia cleric Maulana Kalbe Jawwad, Prdhan Pujari, Ram Janam Bhoomi, Acharya Satyendra Das Ji Maharaj, Mahnat of Shri Ram Janki Ghat Bada Sthan, Ayodhya Janmayjay Sharan Ji and Swami Ganeshacharya Ji Maharaj of Nasik beside state president of Momin Conference, Haji Mohd Raees Ansari.

The religious gurus of both communities in one voice appealed for maintaining communal harmony and peace in the country. They also urged for respecting the court’s decision and maintaining law and order. “Our country has a composite culture and it should be maintained at all costs. The secular fabric of the nation has to be preserved at all costs,” said Acharaya Satyendra. Farangi Mahli too joined him and appealed to both the communities for respecting the judgment and maintaining peace in the country.

Maulana Jawwad stated that human values are more important and it is our duty that our neighbours are safe during crisis. Swami Ganeshacharaya Ji opined that several religions have co-existed in this country in the past and they will remain to do in coming years. “No religion teaches hatred and bloodshed and we appeal to people of all faith for maintaining brotherhood during this testing time,” he said.
