New Delhi : The Indian government has not formulated a policy to rehabilitate families of terrorist violence.
This was stated in the Lok Sabha Tuesday by Minister of State for Home Affairs M. Ramachandran.
The minister added that the Punjab government had urged New Delhi in 2009 to make the scheme of Central Assistance to Victims of Terrorist/Communal Violence effective retrospectively from 1982, when the Khalistan campaign began.
“The scheme cannot be extended retrospectively,” he added.
