Kolkata : The West Bengal government will provide special assistance to the Mumbai blast victims belonging to the state if their families seek help, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced Friday.
However, she requested the media not to highlight details like the state, community or caste of the victims. “This will create problems for the administration there.”
“However, if we receive request for help, we will definitely provide special assistance for those form our state,” she added.
A few of those killed or injured in the triple blasts in Mumbai Wednesday are from West Bengal.
