India condemns Norway violence

New Delhi : India condemned on Monday the July 22 violence in Norway which claimed around 90 innocent lives.

An official statement issued by India’s Ministry of External Affairs said that the country is saddened and shocked by the attacks in Oslo and that New Delhi stands with the people of Norway at this tragic juncture.

“We are shocked and saddened by the attacks in Oslo and Utoya on 22 July 2011, which have led to loss of so many innocent lives and injuries to scores other. We condemn these senseless acts of violence. The government and people of India stand with the people and the Government of Norway at this tragic juncture,” said the statement.
